Component video is
the highest-quality video connection. This quality
level is achieved by splitting the analog video
signal into three parts, including a brightness
signal and two color-related signals. The "Videophile"
Edition cables of V93 were developed for high-end
home theatre installations. The V93 has a coaxial
triple shielded construction with silver-plated
copper conductors. The silver layer dramatically
improves the high frequency response very important
for video signal transmission. The polyethylene
foam dielectric produces an extremely low attenuation,
and true 75 Ohms characteristic impedance necessary
to prevent reflections that would reduce picture
clarity and definition. The cable employs a Reussen
shield construction. This is accomplished with a
Mylar foil and two concentric spiral shields, which
cross over each other, providing in effect triple-shielding.
This construction provides at a minimum 98%
noise protection and eliminates cross-talk between
cables. The outer nylon jacket protects the
PVC insulation from cuts and abrasions and guarantees
long flex life for internal construction of the
cable. The plugs are constructed to guarantee reliable
and trouble free connection of components. The 24-karat
gold-plated center-split tip and six-cut ground
sleeve provide optimal contact pressure for superior
signal transfer and stunning picture quality! |
